2-Minds Counselling and Neuroinclusive Support Ltd (Alison McGregor)

Hello, my name is Alison, and I am a qualified and ethical counsellor offering a safe and supportive space where you can talk openly about your thoughts, feelings, and life experiences. I understand how important it is to feel safe in the counselling relationship, and I work hard to create an environment where you feel secure, respected, and truly heard. Confidentiality is at the heart of our work together, giving you the freedom to express yourself without fear, judgment, or shame.

My approach is rooted in the acceptance of difference, ensuring that every individual receives a personalised experience that respects their unique needs and perspectives. This is at the heart of everything I do.

My counselling practice is uniquely tailored to support neurodivergent individuals, drawing on both personal and professional experience. As a family member of neurodivergent individuals, I have a deep, first-hand understanding of the strengths and challenges that come with neurodiversity. Professionally, I have worked extensively with neurodivergent young people and adults, their families, and those who support them. I provide specialist mentoring for university students who are neurodivergent, as well as for individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Additionally, my mentoring services extend to those with a wide range of neurodivergent and mental health diagnoses.

Life may feel overwhelming right now, leaving you unsure, stuck, or unheard by those around you. Whatever challenges have brought you here, I am here to support you in exploring these feelings and working towards the changes you want to see in your life.

My approach is neuro-affirming and grounded in the understanding that every individual’s experience is unique. I place particular emphasis on exploring the connection between the mind and body, recognising how our thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations are deeply intertwined in shaping overall well-being.

Therapy can be a space for reflection and growth, where clarity and self-awareness emerge to guide lasting change. Whatever you’re facing, we’ll work collaboratively to help you feel empowered and better equipped to navigate life’s challenges.
