ASD ADHD Assessors LTD

ASD ADHD Assessors LTD

We are qualified to assess and diagnose children (from the age of 2 ½ upwards), adolescents and adults who may have undiagnosed or suspected Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) using 'Gold Standard' tools. We aim to carry out an assessment and diagnostic service that is reliable, communicative, and timely, giving the option of a routine or urgent assessment. All of our assessments are conducted jointly, which is beneficial for our own clinical practice and those we are assessing. We assess across the UK and abroad, providing a comprehensive diagnostic service for the NHS, legal (family, educational, criminal), educational and vocational purposes.

Tools we use:

  • We use the Autism ‘Gold Standard’ tools ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) and ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Inventory-Revised).
  • We can also use The Developmental, Dimensional and Diagnostic Interview (3-Di) if required.
  • A 'Gold Standard' ADHD assessment would occur over several appointments. For ADHD we only provide the assessment, not medication, therefore we have clients come to us just for an assessment and will seek an ADHD nurse prescriber/psychiatrist for medication, or will return to the NHS/GP for medication purposes.
  • We also offer the Autism and ADHD adapted assessment version for people with intellectual disability/learning disabilities who require a diagnostic assessment.
  • All diagnostic assessments are based on the diagnostic criteria for Autism and ADHD in ICD-10/DSM-5.

The NHS, local authorities, education, legal and other services have accepted and praised our comprehensive reports as they have exceeded expectations.

We follow NICE guidelines for our assessments.
