Provide AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) services for children and adults within the Ayrshire and Arran Health Board area. The Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) from the AAC resource provides assessment services and short and long term loans of equipment, support and training to the client, carers, family members, and to therapists and other professionals. Training is also provided to NHS staff and education across the three local authority areas covered by NHS Ayrshire and Arran. The SLT from the AAC Resource provides ongoing technical support and maintains a loan bank of equipment.
