Bebington High Sports College
Wirral Council
Students with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) are taught in mainstream, in mixed groups. However, we also provide 1:1 ASD support which includes a personalised programme to develop social skills, working with others and being part of the school community. Our focus is holistic; developing skills for life as well as academic excellence. Success is shared daily with parents/carers. By working together, it promotes a continuous flow of information and support. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils. All have to be Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checked and are not left alone with students at any time. They are classroom based. Pupils living outside the United Kingdom (UK) may be accepted if they have residence within the locality. Other disabilities catered for by the school are some medical needs.
