Blue Skies School is an independent day school for students aged 11-19 years old, with a statement of special educational needs (SEN). Blue Skies School offers a unique service for children with Asperger syndrome and high functioning autism. It is a small and caring school which embraces a holistic approach towards education. We teach how your child learns. We believe it is important for students to achieve their full potential and to ensure this, we offer a rich and stimulating curriculum, individually tailored to our students' needs. We reflect good practice in an environment that supports our students learning. Prospective students may be referred to us by their Local Education Authority (LEA). Pupils can study for AQA Unit Awards, Entry Level certificates, General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) or A Level qualifications. We try to cater for every student and look to offer other qualifications including vocational studies should a student require them. The school uses the Structure, Positive (approaches and expectations), Empathy, Low arousal, Links (SPELL) framework..
