Casey, Gemma (Dr)
Providing assessment of neurodivergence including autism, PDA and ADHD. I work with adults and children on an independent basis, using a number of assessment methods which can include the AAA, DISCO assessment and MIGDAS (neurodivergence affirming assessment). I can also offer consultation sessions if considering the potential 'pluses and minuses' of pursuing an assessment and/or understanding which approach might be most useful.
I also offer follow up support and individual, couple or family sessions. These often aim to address specific issues such as anxiety or low mood, issues with school (including difficulties attending or managing the impact of school), relationship difficulties or wider issues such as psycho education around neurodivergence for individuals, families, partners, schools and the workplace. I also offer support for accessing services, for example requesting 'reasonable adjustments' for medical appointments or when navigating the benefits or social care system.
I am also able to offer support and consultation around working with behaviours which challenge for people with or without a learning disability and/or neurodivergence.
Follow up service also offered including therapy for people with neurodivergence with or without a diagnosis. Also support for neurotypical people in relation to mental health and coping.
Multi-disciplinary assessment: No.
