Claire Nunan Online Counselling
Hello! I’m Claire. I am a Senior Accredited Counsellor providing safe and supportive online counselling sessions to adult (18+) individuals. I work with a wide range of people but I specialise in working with individuals from the LGBTQ+ and GSRD community, those who are neurodivergent (or think they might be) as well as Millennials and Gen Z-ers.
I have experience of working with a diverse range of clients within a confidential and non-judgemental environment. For me, the heart of counselling is a good relationship between client and counsellor. This helps to create a safe and respectful setting for exploration, reflection and understanding of what is important to you.
As we are all individual and unique, people will naturally need different things from counselling. I use an integrative, person-centred approach which means that we can work together in a way which best suits you, drawing from different techniques which will support you through the process of counselling. I will help you to reflect and explore to find your own solutions and your own methods of overcoming challenges.
I hold a Masters Degree in Counselling from the University of Bristol (having first completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling) and BSc (Hons) in Psychology. I am a Senior Accredited member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and I am on their Register of Practitioners. I also adhere to their ethical framework for good practice, attend regular professional supervision and ensure I take part in continuing professional development training.
People are complex, so we will work to recognise any intersectionality and the individual things that make you you. I also firmly believe that counselling should be non-discriminatory and as part of this belief I work with a LGBTQ+ affirmative approach.
