Collective Minds Psychology Ltd

Collective Minds Psychology Ltd

We are highly specialist Clinical Psychologists with many years experience completing assessments with and offering support to neurodivergent people (particularly Autistic, ADHDers) and/or those with learning difficulties/disabilities.

Neuro-affirmative practice, which emphasises strengths alongside differences, is a key value of our work. We complete ‘gold standard’ diagnostic assessments in line with guidelines from the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE). This is important as it ensures that our assessments are of the highest quality and are robust against scrutiny, meaning that they are accepted by important organisations and services like GPs, schools and mental health services.

We work with a team of multi-disciplinary associates, including a speech and language therapist, to help meet the needs of our clients. As clinicians, we are skilled at working with neurodivergence and use personalised, evidence-based approaches to work with an individual (and their family/ network, where required). We are very aware of the complexities in both diagnosing and supporting autistic women and girls (and/or those with ADHD) and work hard to build rapport and understand how someone has been coping, before they have come to us. Helping someone (and their family) to recognise and understand autistic masking, burnout, shutdowns and meltdowns is part of the journey to living well with neurodivergence. We do not think in terms of ‘disorder’ but use identity-affirming language and approaches to highlight someone’s strengths and skills, as well as areas in which they may need additional support or strategies to improve quality of life.

Book a complimentary 20-minute phone call to discuss your or your child's challenges and the assistance you seek. If aligned, we'll schedule an initial assessment. We also offer a screening assessment to agree whether a full assessment for Autism, ADHD or both would be recommended. Our assessment tools include ADOS-2, ADI-R (Autism assessments), DIVA-5 or Young DIVA-5 (ADHD assessments), Wechsler Intelligence Scales (WISC-V, WAIS-IV & WIAT), Adaptive Behaviour Assessment (ABAS-3).
