Complementary Therapy Services Inspire Malta
The complementary therapeutic services at Inspire Malta are available to autistic children aged 2.5 to 16 and young adults with profound multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). These services are complementary to the services provided by the therapeutic and educational programmes offered at Inspire which include the STEP Intensive Early Intervention (IEI) Programme, the Learning in Context (LinC) Day School Programme, the School Outreach Programme (SOP) and the Specialised Therapies and Re/habiltation (STAR) Programme.
The complementary therapy services include pool sessions, therapeutic horse riding and the use of multi-sensory rooms. Intervention for autistic individuals follows the SPELL Framework and the TEACCH Approach.
The service has been developed to enable those benefiting to enjoy a wide range of therapeutic and sensory experiences using media which is engaging and fun.
