Diverse Minds Therapy
Hi, I'm Dr Cloie Parfitt - an integrative counsellor who specialises in working with neurodivergent adults and young people online and from my practice in Norwich. Having both personal and professional experience regarding autism, I am familiar with the challenges that come with living in a world that is not always accepting or understanding of the neurodivergent. It is my belief that with neurodivergence comes unique talents, and one of my greatest joys as a therapist is helping empower people to utilise these strengths and to live freely and authentically.
My role as your therapist is to create the right environment – one in which you feel safe, accepted, and valued – to explore your emotions, thoughts, and experiences, and develop ways to cope with problems in healthy ways. I’ve worked in the mental health field for over eight years in a variety of roles - mental health nurse, psychotherapist, peer support worker, development mentor and support group facilitator - and within various settings.
Prior to beginning private work with clients, I worked as a psychotherapist with adults, young people, and families within schools and various charitable organisations. I have experience working with a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, self-harm, eating disorders, addiction, childhood abuse, and relational trauma.
In addition to one-to-one therapy, I run a number of therapeutic groups for autistic individuals, providing the opportunity for autistic adults and young people to connect and learn about themselves through connection with others.
I accept clients from throughout the UK and around the world.
