Dr Lisa Honeyman & Dr Elaine Clark

Dr Lisa Honeyman & Dr Elaine Clark

Dr Lisa Honeyman and Dr Elaine Clark offer an independent diagnostic service for children with neurodevelopmental difficulties. Based in Whetstone, North London we offer assessment, therapeutic intervention and consultation to schools and families where there are any concerns about a child's social communication, attention, memory, learning or behaviour. We specialise in diagnosis and support for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), their siblings and families. We use Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-Second Edition (ADOS-2), Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R) and other "gold standard" assessment tools. Our assessments are compliant with National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines. We offer a multidisciplinary approach, utilising the latest evidence based research and ensuring best practice. Interventions include behavioural, systemic, cognitive behavioural and social skills, depending on the needs and wishes of the family. We work towards complementing National Health Services (NHS) services, facilitating onward transition to appropriate Paediatric or Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) services if required: www.nice.org.uk/guidance/Cg128 and www.nice.org.uk/guidance/Cg170. Dr Lisa Honeyman and Dr Elaine Clark provide a local assessment and intervention service. The service belongs to multiple professional bodies including the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health (ACAMH). The service provides home and school visits where required.
