The Edinburgh Practice

The Edinburgh Practice provides a gold standard autism spectrum disorder (ASD) assessment service with post-assessment support for children, teenagers and adults. Our multidisciplinary team of clinicians use a range of tools including the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R) and Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) which are recommended in the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN) clinical guidelines. We also offer psychological therapy for children, teens and adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) who are struggling with mental health difficulties. The professional bodies our clinicians belong to are the British Psychological Society (BPS) and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Fees: Children and adolescents: A full assessment including a comprehensive report, recommendations and a post-assessment support meeting costs £1950; Adults: A full assessment including a comprehensive report, recommendations and a post-assessment support meeting costs £1750; Psychological therapy sessions are priced at £130.

Multi-disciplinary assessment: Clinical Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Input from our consulting paediatrician and/or consulting psychiatrist is organised as part of the assessment if necessary.
