Falkland House School Perth
Falkland House School Perth is a co-educational secondary school and continuing care provision which can support young people from 12 to 23. We offer a combination of day, 39-week and 52-week residential placements to young people from across Scotland and the wider UK.
We support young people with a range of additional support needs such as Autistic Spectrum Condition, social communication issues, social anxiety, and mental health diagnosis, as well as several other conditions. We offer a mainstream curriculum including National 4 and National 5 level qualifications, as well as Highers and Advanced Highers.
Pupils follow the Curriculum for Excellence which enables each young person to be a confident and successful individual, while at the same time balancing academic progress with the development of social, communication and life skills. Complementing the curriculum, we provide young people with an extensive independence development programme which encourages and allows young people to progress to positive and sustained destinations.
Our education and care teams are supported by an on-site clinical team comprising of Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Educational Psychology and Psychotherapy. Our clinical team work with the education and care teams to create an environment that removes barriers to learning and enables young people to thrive, in addition to offering 1:1 sessions within social communication classes, supporting the delivery of an interoception curriculum.
Set within the grounds of Falkland House School Perth, our continuing care provision 'Am Bruach' offers accommodation for up to five young adults at a transition-focused person-centred provision. Am Bruach offers an alternative to mainstream care placements where our young adults are supported by an experienced and dynamic residential care team as well as an on-site Clinical team.
