Jump Space

Jump Space

Jump Space is a charity in central Stockport, offering activities for disabled people in our accessible centre. We have activities for all ages: we have dedicated baby/toddler sessions, children's and adult sessions. You do not have to have a formal diagnosis to attend and we encourage siblings to attend so that the whole family can play together.

Our main activity is trampoline/ Rebound. We offer weekly classes, drop in sessions and bookings for schools, groups and services. In the main gym we have two trampolines, two swings, two slides, a spinner, a climbing frame, a large ball pool and a soft play area. There is also a sensory room. The main gym is mostly used for groups and when people are not on the trampoline, they are free to use the other equipment. We have ceiling and mobile hoists in the main gym.

The small gym is mainly used for 1:1 sessions. In here there is a trampoline, a cocoon style swing, interactive and sensory panels and soft play. There is a mobile hoist here too.

We have been open since 2010 and have trained staff, some of whom also have lived experience of autism and ADHD. We use a total communication approach in all our sessions. There is a downloadable document on the website which has images of each space to support social stories/AAC etc. We aim to personalise sessions and often work on goals shared with us by individuals as well as other professionals such as physios, OTs, SALT and so on.

There is free parking on site, with more free parking on the street outside if needed. We have an accessible toilet with track hoist and adult sized change plinth. There are no hand driers on site. Upstairs, Rest/Bite offers an area to chat. Here you can get a hot or cold drink or snack from the vending machines. You are welcome to use this area whenever Jump Space is open.
