Kennel Lane is a co-educational day school maintained by Bracknell Forest Council. It caters for a wide range of learning difficulties, ranging from moderate through to profound and complex, including a high number with autism. All pupils attending the school have a Statement of Special Educational Needs. The school is organised into National Curriculum key stages, offering a flexible curriculum adapted to meet individual needs. The school has a primary inclusion class based at a local primary school and is building links with local secondary schools. The school offers a range of interventions - Team Teach, Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication handicapped CHildren (TEACCH), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Speech and Language Team (SaLT) team is based at the school, facilities include good information and communication technology (ICT), swimming pool and a sensory room. The autism spectrum disorder (ASD) outreach service for Bracknell Forest is based at the school.
