Kent Psychologist - Autism and ADHD Assessments

Kent Psychologist - Autism and ADHD Assessments

We offer expert assessments of Autism and ADHD for children and young people aged 4 to young adults. All our assessments are based on NICE guidelines and completed by our friendly and experienced multi disciplinary team. Our assessments are designed to be neuro-affirmative and our aim is for all young people who come to see us to feel at ease, have a positive experience and to leave with a better understanding of themselves. We therefore focus on the young person as a whole in our meeting with them, including their strengths and positive qualities, so we can find the best way to manage the challenges they face together. Following an assessment families receive a detailed report with recommendations and we can also liaise directly with schools about appropriate support if this would be helpful.

We will shortly be launching our adult assessment service. Please contact us directly to find out more.

Our Autism and ADHD assessment team is led by Dr Sirja van Zyl, who has a special interest in the assessment of girls and complex presentations. We also specialise in assessing children who have spent some time outside of the UK and had part of their education abroad, such as children of 'expat families'.

Following an assessment, Dr van Zyl offers a range of post diagnostic support to families and young people. Please take a look at our website to find out more about our free online workshops. We also offer training and consultation to schools, healthcare providers and corporate organisations.

We can offer appointments in our clinic rooms in Tonbridge, as well as at your home, your child's school or online. All assessments need to include at least one in person meeting.  Our service is based in Kent and we accept referrals from across the UK and abroad.
