Counselling and therapy for Autistic adults, in Birmingham and online. Providing safe, supportive and affirming therapeutic counselling that works with the mind, body and nervous system.

Whether you’re just beginning your journey in therapy or are ready to take the next step, I’m glad you’re here. Facing our challenges and delving into the issues that affect us can take courage.

My path to becoming a counsellor began with my own time as a therapy client. A huge part of that was coming to understand myself as being autistic and ADHD.

Being able to address my struggles in a safe, affirming, and supportive environment has allowed me to experience a more connected and fulfilling life. I've also experienced therapy that lacked neurodiversity affirming and trauma-informed approaches, which is why I’m dedicated to creating a space that is both trauma-informed and affirming of LGBTQIA+ identities, disabilities, neurodiversity, anti-racism, and body positivity.

If there are aspects of your identity, or intersections of identities, affected by oppression, and you’re considering whether I might be a suitable fit for you, this post highlights my commitments as a therapist, counsellor, and space-holder.

You may be seeking therapy to address a particular issue, or perhaps your goal is simply to gain a deeper understanding of yourself. Whatever brings you to counselling, I offer a collaborative, supportive space where you can connect with yourself in a compassionate environment.

I am passionate about the practical side of therapy, helping you develop tools and resources that you can apply outside the therapy setting as you navigate life’s challenges.

I use various therapeutic approaches, including nature therapy, psychodynamic, Gestalt, humanistic, acceptance and commitment therapy, neuroscience, and somatic trauma therapy. I am also a certified meditation teacher and sound practitioner and facilitate nature-based wellbeing and spirituality practices. More about my therapeutic approach is available here.

There’s no need to decide on a specific approach beforehand. These approaches are simply methods I’ll draw from to support you as we work together to explore the issues or experiences that bring you here.
