Lauren Kriwald Counselling

Lauren Kriwald Counselling

I'm Lauren, a neurodiverse counsellor.

I offer a calm safe space where together we can slow things down and find clarity on what's brought you to seek counselling.

My authenticity and inclusive approach help create a non-judgemental environment. Here, your whole being and experience is welcome.

Working with clients who suspect they may be on the spectrum or have had an ADHD or autism diagnosis, I bring real human connection and learn from clients about their inner beliefs, strengths and obstacles in order to facilitate the amazing self-healing and detangling that is possible in the right environment.

   Therapeutic Approach

I bring my authentic self to the therapeutic relationship and let my uniqueness shine through. In choosing to build trust in this way I can be playful at times but take this therapeutic trust seriously and keep your clinical best interest at heart.

My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, has roots in polyvagal theory, mindfulness, using the body as a resource and explores self-compassion. From wherever we may begin, we will work at your pace towards goals we can identify and agree together.

I have also trained as an ADHD clinical services provider, which brings useful coaching skills and psychoeducation to help understand and better navigate your unique neurodiverse intricacies.

I have a vibrantly optimistic outlook on life, with room for the hardship and shadow that is part of life too. I run a full and busy practice with the central intention to see you outshine life’s obstacles in whichever ways feel good to you.

I travel, practice meditation and creative pursuits to nurture my own growth and joy. I work with compassion, respectful boundaries and a genuine sense of curiosity in your experience.

If you feel I may be a good fit for what you're looking for, I offer a free 20-minute phone call to give us a chance to say hello, see how it feels to speak on the phone and allow you to ask any initial questions you may have.

I look forward to speaking with you.
