The Lotus Psychology Practice
The Lotus Psychology Practice offers psychological assessment and evidence-based treatment to children and young people for a range of mental health, behavioural and emotional difficulties. This includes supporting young people who are experiencing low mood, anxiety and challenges in forming or maintaining relationships. The practice is experienced in working with children and young people of all ages, including children with complex needs due to neurodevelopmental co-morbidities, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Tourette Syndrome/Tic Disorder.
The practice also provides comprehensive cognitive assessments to understand learning strengths and areas of difficulty, and to identify general and/or specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia.
The practice is able to offer a diagnostic assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder. We comply with NICE (National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence) guidelines with a multi-disciplinary team with specialism in neurodiversity completing assessments. Our assessment of autism involves gathering information from schools or tutors, a detailed developmental history from parents/carers and a standardised observational assessment with the young person.
Approaches and tools used include:
3Di, ADOS, Conners, a range of screening questionnaires.
WISC, WIAT, DASH, CTOPP and a range of other measures.
