Luisa Diaz Counselling
I'm a fully insured qualified London based counsellor working both online and in-person with individuals from 18 years up. I am also a qualified Specialist ASC Mentor, and in this role I work with both UK and international students in higher education. I have substantial experience working with different people experiencing a wide range of issues, with additional training and experience working with autistic (both diagnosed and self-identifying) people. I also work with siblings, parents and partners of autistic people. My aim is to help you to gain a deeper understanding of your self and your relationships, and to develop the inner resources, approaches and perspectives that will improve your confidence and enable you to live your life more fully. Some (not all) of the conditions and issues I've worked with include: issues surrounding an autism diagnosis (pre and post), stress, anxiety, sleep issues, depression, identity issues, sexuality, social anxiety, difficulties with forming and maintaining relationships, family issues and conflicts, loneliness, long-term health issues, trauma, low self-confidence and self-esteem. I have a Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling accredited by the the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I'm also a registered member of the BACP, and I work to the professional standards as set out in their Ethical Framework. I have also completed specialised training for remote working. Previously I provided Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) interventions for individuals working for a large organisation. I have also worked for two different counselling organisations in London within the charitable sector. I am based in North London and easily reached by road, train, tube and bus routes. I also provide online sessions.
