Moorpark Place

Active Care Group
Moorpark Place is a specialist service for adults who are on the Autistic Spectrum and may have behaviours that challenge. Moorpark Place is truly special and unique, not just because of the setting, but because of the care that is provided to each resident. We support our residents to live the very best lives they can. Our community at Moorpark Place consists of 25 individual houses, where each resident has their own home set within the very large grounds.

Each resident either has 1:1 staffing or 2:1 staffing, dependent on their needs, who provide daily support with everyday tasks, community activities and increasing independent living skills, in addition to receiving further specialist support from our on-site clinical psychologist, occupational therapist and speech and language therapist.

There is a communal gym with a gym instructor, conservatory, sunken trampoline and swing, plus a walled sensory garden. There are regular community activities and residents are often seen socialising in the grounds.

Moorpark Place is calm and tranquil and has a huge grassed area outside where residents often walk and many have reported they feel calmer afterwards. The walled garden is kept as a quiet, sensory area.

Every person at Moorpark Place is totally involved in developing their own care plans and in choosing the way they live their lives. Our ambition at Moorpark Place is to see each individual who enters our care become more confident and independent in their everyday activities, allowing them to learn new skills which will enable them to lead the most rewarding of lives. The unique location and accommodation enables our residents to enjoy all aspects of individual living whilst being part of a community.
