The National Autistic Society
The NAS Lorna Wing Centre for Autism is a specialist diagnostic and assessment centre alongside offering a range of training for professionals. The Lorna Wing Centre now provides a variety of assessment services relating to the understanding and diagnosis of autism spectrum disorders (ASDs). Referrals are accepted from consultants at a tertiary level and General Practitioners (GPs) (with clinical commissioning group (CCG) funding). We also accept private referrals from individuals, families, schools and other educational settings. We are happy to discuss any referral and we have a reputation for being able to support complex and specialist presentations.

Assessment procedure: We use the Diagnostic Interview for Social and Communication Disorders (DISCO, Wing & Gould). Others: this would depend on the case.

Multi-disciplinary assessment: Clinical Psychology, Paediatrics, Psychiatry and Speech and Language Therapy.
