Oxford Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Oxford Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

The best predictor of recovery is the time taken to access therapy. Oxford CBT was set up to provide fast, flexible and easy access to evidence-based therapy, assessments, diagnosis and support without the long wait lists. We are the largest independent therapy service in Oxfordshire. Established in 2012 by providing quick and easy access to support we aim to reduce mental health stigma.

To begin the process we offer a ‘Triage appointment’ before a full assessment. Meet with one of our specialist clinicians to review your concerns, screen for the common signs of Autism and ADHD and get an overview of your current situation. Importantly, this ensures we put you on the right path in terms of your assessment plan, signposting or recommendations for further support. Reach out to us today to easily schedule your Triage appointment.

After your initial screening, your Oxford CBT clinician will be prepared to identify whether specific symptoms or signs warrant further exploration and/or testing. We provide fully comprehensive assessments for both Autism and ADHD using evidence-based tools including the ADOS and the CONNORS. Once we have completed assessments and diagnosis reporting we are able to offer further support through adapted CBT therapy which includes practical tools and skills to help yourself or your children to flourish and grow. Our team of experienced clinicians provide support to both adults and children. All team members are accredited and specifically trained to help people overcome a range of difficulties; including stress, anxiety disorders such as panic, OCD, social phobia, sleep difficulties, eating disorders and depression.

Registrations and professional qualifications: Clinical Psychologist and Occupational Therapist. Member of HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) and BABCP (British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies) accredited.

Approaches and tools used: The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) and the Connors Scale for ADHD. The ADOS Diagnostic Report will provide the following information: - A specific Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis, if applicable - Detailed insights into your child’s specific needs and strengths - Specific recommendations for ongoing therapies and support - If necessary, the report may also recommend further testing for conditions that are not on the Autism Spectrum and addressed by the assessments performed.

Our Initial assessment for children is from £300 - 80 minutes which includes a report. Subsequent child therapy sessions are from £150 - 50 minutes. Our screenings for ADHD and/or Autism are £300. ADOS - £1500 and CONNORS - £1200. Our clinics are based in Oxford and Sutton Coldfield near Birmingham and we provide our services online.
