Sheffield Adult Autism and Neurodevelopmental Service
The Sheffield Adult Autism and Neurodevelopmental Service (SAANS) is a specialist service consisting of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the assessment and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD).
The service also provides time-limited post diagnostic support where a person's primary needs are related to a diagnosis of ASD, including an understanding autism group, psychological interventions and specialist Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention.
We accept people registered with a Sheffield GP. We can also accept some out of areas referrals where special commissioning arrangements are in place or via right to choose. Please check if you are unsure of the arrangements in your area.
