Understanding Autism North West

Understanding Autism North West is a registered charity (No: 1176215) offering a therapeutic service for autistic individuals and family members. Therapy is provided by experienced and BACP & NCS registered counsellors, who have both professional and personal experience of living with the differences presented by autism, and who welcome the opportunity to share their knowledge and understanding with clients in a confidential and therapeutic environment. Referral forms can be downloaded from the Understanding Autism North West website.

Counselling is offered to individuals aged 13 and over. Common difficulties that can be addressed include anxiety, depression, obsessional behaviour, relaxation techniques, anger management, relationship difficulties and mental health issues.
