Advisory Services - Specialist Adviser for Autism and Consultant - Maria Voutsinas

I am a specialist adviser for autism, with a teaching background, who has more than 30 years of experience working with children. The majority of this has been working with children with SEND, and in particular children with neurodiversity (Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social Communication difficulties, ADHD, PDA, Speech & Language difficulties and learning disorders such as dyslexia, dyscalculia and dyspraxia). I have set up an ASD Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) and Inclusion Centre, as well as worked with children within mainstream school settings, private schools, and ASD Specialist Resource Provisions (SRPs).

I support schools, professionals, and parents. I offer advice, guidance and support parents by helping them find practical strategies/solutions to support their child according to their individual needs. I am a Licensed EarlyBird Plus practitioner and have extensive experience in autism and neurodiversity providing advice, support and training to parents and professionals.

My approach has always focused on the child and is family centred. When children feel safe and are healthy and happy in their environment, they will make progress and blossom. I am dedicated to making a difference to children's lives by facilitating the journey of parents and caregivers as they navigate the lifelong path of supporting their child's unique individual needs.
