Aspire for Intelligent Care and Support (CIC)
Waterside Specialist Support is located in the Swinton/Clifton area of Salford. This is a day service for adults with a range of complex needs (autism, learning/physical, Behaviours that cause concern, sensory-related to autism and health) in a friendly but professional environment.
Waterside specialises in offering intensive therapies to support the well-being and personal care of the individual in an environment that promotes sensory stimulation, rehabilitation, development of communicational skills, self-expression, exploration and creativity, thus maximising on people's strengths, promoting greater independence as well as having greater control in their lives and developing interests. We work on total integration aimed at school leavers and onwards.
Our philosophy is to communicate, stimulate, motivate, promote self-esteem, personal growth and actively promote community presence and inclusion. In order to meet the individual's needs, staff are trained to provide high standards of support and continue to develop their skills, knowledge and understanding of people with complex needs throughout their careers as well as working in a voluntary led way and using specific tools.
As a service we have strong links with our commissioning team and Allied Health Professionals as well as working in partnership with parents/carers, Supported Living Tenancies, Adult Placement, Respite, Education, Older People's Services, Private, Voluntary and Mainstream services.
