Autism and Toileting

An information session looking at factors that can affect toileting and provides tips and strategies to try at home. This will include looking at sensory factors.

The session will include:

  • introduction to developing toileting and we will take a look at how autism can make the process that little bit trickier.
  • we will look at how knowing your child or young person's strengths and support needs is the first step to more successful toileting.
  • we look at some tips and strategies.
  • we look at the importance of working in partnership with anyone else who cares for or who educates your child or young person. This is important to ensure their support needs around toileting are met.

The free session will be delivered over Zoom. It is for parents and carers of autistic individuals (no diagnosis required) living in South West England you must be registered in advance .
