How our senses can help us to understand our body’s signals and emotions

Would you like to explore what sensory barriers our loved ones might be facing?

In this session we will be covering our inner body senses which are:

Interoception – The sense that allows us to answer, ‘How do I Feel?’

Proprioception – The sense that allows us to know where our body is, what action we are doing and the type of movement Vestibular – The sense that allows us to move and balance

Stimming – Our repetitive body movements which can help regulate and reduce stress.

Would you like to chat with other parents and carers who are going through similar experiences and share ideas and strategies?

Great Minds Together is holding this online session for parents/carers & Personal Assistants of autistic children, young people and adults on the diagnostic pathway living in the North West of England (however, no diagnosis is needed).

The session will be facilitated by one of our Peer Educators who has lived experience.

Our Drop-In is free to attend and is held virtually online.
