Our Understanding Autism workshop will:

• Develop your understanding of autism

• Begin to understand what a diagnosis of autism might mean

• Recognise that each family’s experience will be different

• Gain some insight into different autistic experiences

• Become familiar with neuro-affirmative language

 

Who are Peer Educators?

Our Peer Educators have lived experience of autism, as parents, carers or siblings of autistic people and/or autistic people. Our Peer Educators are here to provide you with information and signposting. They are not subject matter experts or counsellors. They provide an opportunity to parents, carers and family members the chance to learn more about various topics and be share lived experience of autism.
